About Us

Croeso / Welcome - to Little Dolwen

We hope you choose to spend time with us here. This is our first summer at Dolwen Fach and we’re excited to have you. We will be doing everything we can to make sure your stay with us is really special.

This is us

We are Sam and Goff, your hosts.

We live at Dolwen Fach, where Little Dolwen is situated, with our canine lodgers, Rocky and Aros. We both come from professional careers and have worked in all kinds of industries.

Goff, a retired police officer, is also a trained chef, general handyperson, musician and dad. Sam is a businesswoman, coach, expert in physical education, sports fanatic and mum.

We’ve both worked in the hospitality sector and love good food and great company. Coming to Wales has been a dream realised. We get to live in this beautiful part of the world.

What we care about

The land
We love the outdoors, we always have. We lived in a farm cottage in the Kent countryside for 20 years whilst our boys grew up so we understand how important it is to take care of the land, plants, rivers and animals.
We have already started rewilding at Dolwen Fach and we plan to protect and develop the whole site as our very own ecology project.

Longer term we want to keep animals and offer more services but for now, it's all about you.

Supporting Local
We buy local as much as possible and if you choose one of our breakfasts or a meal, the ingredients will have been sourced locally. There is so much lovely produce why would you do anything else?

Leaving a legacy
We can’t believe our luck, living in this lovely place and we want to leave a legacy for the next generation. If you fancy you can join in during your stay. Plant something or pull something up – there’s loads of options. Or just do your own thing!
