Things to do - Places to go

Around Llanwenog / Llanybydder

Llanwenog Church is lovely and well worth a wander around.

Fishing at Cledlyn lakes can be arranged.

On Saturday breakfast can be purchased at the lakes also.

There are many things to do and see as we are situated almost midway between the Cambrians , Brecon Beacons and the beautiful west wales coast.

Here’s a taster of what’s on offer including days out to mountains, moors and beaches are easy from here.

Hills and Falls

The Hafod Estate is beautiful with wonderful waterfalls.

Cenarth Falls, Walk along the river Teifi to see the falls amongst other attractions.  There's a good car park and places to eat, drink and shop.

The Vale of Rheidol Steam railway chugs up 12 miles from Aberystwyth to Devils Bridge in the Cambrians in Ceredigion.  The Devil's Punch Bowl and Mynach falls are the biggest draw, but you can get off at the Rheidol Falls stop to explore the less visited cascades.

Locally there are beautiful walks and bike tracks in the vast Brechfa Forest,  just 10 minutes away.

Gold Mines and Mountains

There are many walks on the Cambrians and also a great driving loop should the weather become inclement.  We can provide you with a route should you require one.

The Dolaucothi Gold mines are the only known Roman gold mine in the UK, cared for by the National Trust.

The National Trust Llanerchaeron House is a great visit and is en route to Aberaeron on Cardigan Bay.

Bannau Brycheiniog - With its vast range of outdoor adventures check out at the National Parks website  https://www.breconbeacons.org/things-to-do.  Llandeilo is the most western town on the edge of the Brecons.
